Gunmen riding a motorcycle shot dead a woman and seriously wounded her 13-year-old son in the central Syrian city of Homs shortly after 1am on Monday, 27 July 2026, in the second attack of its kind in the city in eight days. The shooting took place on al-Taweel Street in the Wadi al-Dhahab district.
